Dúvida em configuração do Tomcat

Pessoal, criei meu servidor, consigo acessá-lo, uso a distribuição RedHat, o.k.
Mas, apesar de configuar o meu "tomcat-users.xml"(pelo menos acho que fiz certo), de forma alguma consigo acessar seu manager, podem me ajudar, aguardo anciosamente, pois preciso com urgência.
Muito obrigado, posto abaixo meu xml.

Cara, quando vc tenta acessar o manager o que dá?

Qual a versão do tomcat?

A versão é 7.0
e dá erro 403 Access Denied

Cara, basta ler as informações na própria página de erro.

Você precisa adicionar as roles aos usuários:

Exemplo:
Aqui configurei o usuário spolti com permissões full:


<role rolename="spolti/>
<user username="spolti" password="tomcat" roles="spolti,manager-gui,manager-jmx,manager-status,manager-script"/>


Feito isso, tu consegue acesso.
Mas avalie o que realmente o usuário precisa fazer no manager, as permissões acima permitem que o usuário utilize todas as opções.

Cara, devo estar errando estas tal permissões...
porque, mesmo copiando esta sua linha de código e colocando no meu xml não deu em nada...
ele simplesmente ignora.

tá reiniciando o tomcat?

qualquer alteração de configuração tem que restartar.

troca seu arquivo tomcat-user.xml e bota este conteudo:

so peguei esse arquivo teu botei no meu adicionando manager-gui,manager-jmx,manager-status,manager-script as roles do admin....


não sei o que vc tá fazendo, isso n tem segredo nenhum.
