Tentando configurar Raknet configure.ac makefile.am?

Pessoal, to tentando configurar Network Library Raknet mas nao entendi como faz...
no diretorio onde descompactei tem os seguintes arquivos:

fredcrs@fredcrs-notebook:~/NetBeansProjects/raknet$ ls

ja tentei ./configure(,bash: ./configure: No such file or directory) make...nao funciona

no readme diz assim:

tentei abrir no netbeans mas n virou nao...nao tenho q arrumar os arquivos .a pra fazer a linkagem?? igual fiz com a SDL??

There is a make file for linux users in the root directory
