Problema ref. startx no centos 5.8

Boa tarde.

Alguns dias atrás, fiz a atualização do centos pra versão 5.8, e desde então
tenho o problema quanto ao startx. que não inicializa.

a mensagem do erro é:

Meu amigo Valdemort, não e bem por ai, aqui no VOL, todos nos tentamos dar o máximo para ajudar a todos, mais como você, não somos todos que podemos ajudar.

Tenho certeza que assim que alguém que entenda(que saiba responder a duvida dele), entrar no VOL, vai responder a ele.
