Estou precisando instalar o gkt3.16, porem ele apresentou o seguinte erro ao executar o ./confgure:

pleo que eu entendi é como se tivesse duas versões do glib e eu tivesse que desinstalar uma, como eu faço pra remover com segurança?

akanamay,

antes de remover a versao antiga, certifique-se qual est'a instalada no seu Ubuntu.
digite no terminal>

pkg-config --modversion glib-2.0

e tambem>

dpkg -l libglib*

qual o retorno desses dois comandos?

possivelmente, como vc mesmo disse, ha duas versoes instaladas no seu SO.
a maneira mais facil de resolver isso seria instalar a versao do gtk3 que deseja com ajuda do apt-get.
