Como instalar uma webcam? [RESOLVIDO]

Gostaria de saber como faço pra instalar minha webcam no ubuntu 7.10?

Ja tentei usar o cd de instalaçao do windows, via wine, mas nao funciona.

Troquei o Ubuntu 8.04 pelo Mandriva 2008 Spring -> Nesta distribuição do mandriva tudo no acer aspire 5570z funciona sem nenhuma dificuldade, wireless,som,usb,video,etc... to apaixonado pelo mandriva... leve, eficiente e fácil. As unicas coisas que eu tive que fazer foi alterar o meu dispositivo de audio(Tirei o pulse e coloquei o Alsa) >Menuk>Ferramentas>FerramentasSistema>CentroControle(nao é o MCC) etrocar o meu kernel(urpmi -a kernel-desktop-latest) para reconhcer toda a ram. Feito isso, pronto, duas horas apos o inicio da instalacao do sistema meu computador ja estava funcionando perfeitamente e com os meus 45 softwares instalados:
