kra ja tive esse mesmo problema, na instalação não sei resolve, mais tenta assim tenta aplica esse xorg, naum sei como no passo a passo mais naum custa tenta

quando de o erro digita Ctrl + Alt + F1
faz o logim e digita sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop
cola esse xorg.conf na pasta /etc/X11 ae digita startx e ve o que acontece
posso ter falado uma grande besteira mais com o sistema ja instalado isso funcionaria, funcionou no ubuntu e no arch, mais na instalação naum sei se vai funcionar
