Não consigo atualizar meu Linux.

Olá pessoal. Tinha o Linux Ubuntu instalado em meu computador, meu HD queimou, comprei outro HD e acabei de instalar novamente o Ubuntu, a última versão, porém quando tento atualizar aparece a seguinte mensagem " Falha ao baixar informações do repositório", "Verificar sua conexão com a internet". Gostaria de ajuda pra resolver esse problema. Grato.

sua internet está conectando, vc navega?
o Ubuntu que instalou é o novo?
se for muito antigo, ele não atualiza mais
não seriam somente erros dos repositórios?
de uma olhada no seu sources.list

Minha internet está conectando sim, consigo navegar. Instalei a última versão do linux 12.10. Eu sou novo no linux não sei praticamente nada.

-rode o comando abaixo no terminal p/ ver sua sources.lits
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

-depois post o resultado

Já estava servidor Brasil, mudei pro principal e mesmo assim não atualizou. Agora voltei pro Brasil.

Cara tenta fazer assim....
vai no terminal e digita:

#sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.old
#sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

apaga todos os repositorios e cola esse aqui :
