Não consigo instalar nada no Ubuntu [RESOLVIDO]

Seguinte ontem fiz o download do Ubuntu 14.10 i386 e instalei em meu computador, porém eu não consigo fazer nada para personalizado, nenhum programa da central de eventos inslata, sempre da o erro de conexão. Não consigo descompactar arquivos rar, porque diz não possuir instalado (e eu n consigo instalar), não consigo usar midias em navegadores, pois n tem o flash e não consigo instalar.

Já formatei o pc 3 vezes e nada resolve, ja busquei aqui no forum sobre o assunto, mas não consegui nada. Alguem pode me dar uma luz e ajudar nesse erro?

Ubuntu 14.10 está sem suporte desde julho/215
Faça bkp de seus arquivos e depois instale o ubuntu-14.04-lts que terá suporte até abril/2019

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rar
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer

kleisongeek, o 14.10 já está sem suporte não vai atualizar e nem instalar nada

E: Alguns arquivos index falharam ao ser baixados. Eles foram ignorados, ou cópias antigas são usadas ao invés.

Instalei o16.04 e problema resolvido

Uma dica: só use ubuntu-lts que tem suporte por 5 anos!
