Erro ao logar no Squirrelmail

Boa noite!

Estou com problemas em meu servidor de emails. Quando tento logar no Squirrelmail aparece a seguinte mensagem:

"Bad request: The IMAP server is reporting that plain text logins are disabled. Using CRAM-MD5 or DIGEST-MD5 authentication instead may work. Also, the use of TLS may allow SquirrelMail to login. Please contact your system administrator and report this error."

Já tentei dar um telnet na porta 143, mas a mesma tá retornando a seguinte mensagem:

"OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4REV1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS STARTTLS LOGINDISABLED] SERVIDOR02 IMAP4rev1 2004.357 at Tue, 28 Jul 2009 00:57:14 -0300 (BRT)"

Galera como faço pra resolver esse problema. Me ajudem por favor!!

Ao dar um telnet na porta 143, deveria me retornar a seguinte mensagem:

" OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4REV1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS STARTTLS AUTH=LOGIN]"
