[Debian] - Problemas com o dispositivo Wifi

Boa noite pessoal, estou aqui criando o tópico porque já vão ser quase 3 dias tentando fazer funcionar o dispositivo wireless do meu notebook com a ultima distro do Debian (Jessie)

O wlan0 simplesmente não aparece. Usando pelo windows, vejo que ele usa o driver da própria Dell (Dell Wireless 1820).

O network adapter deste notebook pelo Debian é o Qualcomm Atheros Device 003e (rev32)

Já tentei instalar as firmwares do atheros, já baixei backports e tentei instalar o ath10k, mas nada até agora surtiu efeito.

Se alguém tiver uma luz ai ficarei muito grato!

Já tentou instalar um kernel mais recente?

Pergunto pq suporte é nativo para placas atheros

Sobre o kernel ainda não tentei, até achei na verdade que por ser a versão mais recente do Debian, ele já estaria com a ultima versão do kernel.

é a rev 31, a rev 32 não vi na lista, mas talvez vale tentar

já baixei o firmware-atheros direro do bash, mas meus repositórios puxam tudo do jessie, será que faz diferença?

Talvez possa ter alguma diferença, mas se eu fosse você, baixaria direto da wiki do Debian,
https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/all/firmware-atheros/download

e instalaria direto também, é só baixar o .deb e instalar
dpkg -i nomedopacote.deb

caso falte alguma dependência
apt-get -f install

Depois disso só testar.
Como você não conseguiu da forma que fez, é válido tentar outras formas ...

Pessoal, consegui fazer funcionar.

Não sei exatamente se foi a ultima coisa que eu fiz, ou se foi um conjunto de coisas, porque eu fiz MUITA coisa, instalei muita firmware, tava até pensando em formatar o debian e fazer só o ultimo procedimento que foi o que fez funcionar.

Vou deixar aqui a resolução

Yeah, sorry there's a little typo in both of the wget commands, I've missed the parameter specifying the output file name.

Here are the commands for the fix again, this time with the correct parameters and some other little tweaks.

If the /lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/ directory already exists, remember to backup everything from it in case you want to restore the previous configuration.

After a reboot your wireless should be working.



The status of this bug should probably not be "In Progress" after a working solution has been found, but please correct me if I'm wrong. As I'm not yet familiar with this bug reporting system, could someone advice me further?
