Problema com ssh passwordless

Pessoal, to pedindo ajuda de vocês porque não sei mais o que fazer.

To querendo simplesmente usar o SSH sem senha para conectar do meu notebook com meu computador.

Em ambas as máquinas estou rodando Ubuntu 9.10.

Já conferi o arquivo sshd_config para verficar se ele está aceitando autentiação RSA, e está.

Já conferi as permissões de pasta. Estão em 700.

As versões do OpenSSH são as mesmas: 5.1

Utilizo a seguinte sequência de passos para tentar fazer o ssh passwordless:

No cliente, por exemplo, o notebook, eu executo:

ssh-keygen -t rsa

Beleza, gerou o par de chaves.

Ainda no cliente eu executo:

ssh-copy-id -i /home/jonathan/.ssh/id_rsa.pub jonathan@desktop

Com isso, imagino que o ssh deveria logar sem senha, mas isso não acontece.

Quando chamo ssh -vvv jonathan@desktop tenho o seguinte resultado:

Olá colega, estou passando pelo mesma situação que vc....eu até consigo logar sem senha mas usando o root,
agora quando eu tento logar sem senha com algum usuario ele dá erro e pede a senha.....também já tentei de tudo....se descobrir coloco a resposta aqui espaço....até mais
