Remover definitivamente o Unity do Ubuntu 16.04 LTS [RESOLVIDO]

Após ficar alguns poucos anos usando o Ubuntu com o Unity, ele acabou me enjoando em tudo e acabei instalando o Budgie, que é uma interface bem mais simples e fácil de usar. Porém, o Unity ainda está no meu sistema e eu quero tirá-lo definitivamente e ficar apenas com o Budgie. Achei na internet um comando para removê-lo, mas não funcionou. Alguém sabe como removê-lo definitivamente do meu sistema?

Eu não gostei do Solus por causa dos repositórios, por isso prefiro o Ubuntu. Teve um pessoal que conseguiu fazendo isso por outro ambiente gráfico, queria tentar também. To sem nenhum arquivo no computador, queria arriscar.

-entre noutro ambiente grafico e remova unity
sudo apt-get remove unity unity-asset-pool unity-control-center unity-control-center-signon unity-gtk-module-common unity-lens* unity-services unity-settings-daemon unity-webapps* unity-voice-service

sudo apt-get autoremove

-reinicie pc

obs >> por sua conta e risco

-todas dicas de remoção do unity são antes do lançamento do 16.04
-por isso não deve estar funcionando

$ dpkg get-selections | grep unity
Use a lista do que foi exibido para desinstalar via apt-get.

As chances disso não dá certo e quebrar totalmente o sistema é grande. Para ter menos dores de cabeça instale diretamente o flavor do Ubuntu que já vem com o ambiente gráfico de sua preferência.

Deve ser isso mesmo. Se eu instalar o Budgie no Xubuntu, será que teria como remover o XFCE?

Já tentei, mas dá erro na instalação todas as vezes que eu tento.

É simples:

$ sudo apt-get purge unity*

e depois

$ sudo apt-get autoremove

Você pode instalar o Synaptic e remover os pacotes que fazem referência ao Unity graficamente.

O único cuidado é observar se não será removido pacotes que você deseja ficar com eles (programas, kernel, daemons úteis).

Eu já fiz isso inúmeras vezes no meu Ubuntu, sempre deu certo.
