Erro na hora de atualizar os repositórios

Após dar o comando sudo apt update, resulta no seguinte erro:

W: Skipping acquire of configured file 'multiverse/cnf/Commands-amd64' as repository 'http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu bionic InRelease' doesn't have the component 'multiverse' (component misspelt in sources.list?)


O que isso pode indicar?

Abra o arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list.

Você provavelmente encontrará estas linhas (ou parecidas):
#deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ bionic multiverse
#deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ bionic multiverse
#deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ bionic-updates multiverse
#deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ bionic-updates multiverse

Descomente-as, removendo a cerquilha (#). Se essas linhas não existirem, adicione-as, substituindo "bionic" pelo codinome de sua versão Ubuntu. Se for 18.04 é "bionic", 18.10 "cosmic".

Será necessário root para salvar o arquivo.

Depois rode apt update.
