Não consigo instalar nada no meu linux porque da o seguinte erro

checking for a bsd-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking wheter build environment is sane... yes
checking for gawk... gawk
checking wheter make sets $(MAKE)... no
checking wheter to enable maintainer-specific portions of mal
checking for style of include used by make... none
chewcking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure:error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH

eu ja tentei instalar o pacote gcc todas as versões e o gcc-3.3.41.i586.rpm,e não vai
eu uso o mandriva distribuição 2007 i586

me ajudem por favor agradeço desde já

I try to install the gcc package all versions and gcc-3.3.41.i586.rpm but don't work

I work on mandriva distribution 2007 i586

urpmi gcc

O que ta faltando são os compiladores de C, sem eles, nada feito!

Use sempre o urpmi, muito bom.
