Você pode fazer da seguinte forma, abra um terminal, agora com usuário root, digite "gedit /etc/apt/sources.list"(sem aspas) com isso será aberto o editor de textos "gedit" com o arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list, no arquivo procure pelas linha que contém os links dos PPAs que você quer remover, depois de encontrar, comente a linha, pra isso coloque um "#"(jogo da velha) sem aspas no inicio da linha que contém o link do PPA que deve ser removido. depois de colocar o "#" em todas as linhas dos PPAs a serem removidos, salve e feche o gedit, agora use o apt-get update. se der algum erro por causa do "#" é só você abrir o arquivo novamente e apagar os "#".
Não encontrei as linhas que estavam dando erro no terminal. Segue abaixo o documento:
