Ubuntu 12.04 inicia com tela preta [RESOLVIDO]

Ola pessoal, seguinte meu ubuntu so inicia com tela preta, toda vez tenho que apertar o botão F3 de clarear a tela para que o brilho volte ao normal, tem como deixar isso automático, para que sempre que eu ligue meu notebook o brilho esteja no máximo ?

1-qual a configuração do pc? processador? memoria? video?
2-vc fez instalação limpa ou atualizou a partir da versão anterior?
