Amigo,

Aceitaria instalar um novo kernel e inicializar através do mesmo para tentar resolver esse problema sem trabalhar muito?

se aceita então instalar os pacotes a sguir:

# aptitude install linux-image-2.6.38-bpo.2-686 linux-headers-2.6.38-bpo.2-686

Depois reinicia e ver se a placa é reconhecida...

Meu amigo eabreu, vc já viu algum caso mais complicado do que esse meu ?
eu instalei conforme vc me falou
aptitude install linux-image-2.6.38-bpo.2-686 linux-headers-2.6.38-bpo.2-686

mais ainda continua na mesma, um detalhe, quando entro como root, ta aparecendo isso :

bash: enable: in: not a shell builtin
bash: enable: interactive: not a shell builtin
bash: enable: shells: not a shell builtin

o que vc me aconselha, eu formato novamente e tento do zero ?
ou tem mais alguma ideia ?

Não desista.

O problema está no driver que não está presente, temos que compila-lo e ou compilar um kernel mais novo.

Vamos continuar tentando compilar o driver, execute os comandos a seguir como root:

# cd /usr/src/rtl_92ce_92se_92de_linux_mac80211_0004.0816.2011
# ln -s /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.32 /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build
# ln -s /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.32 /lib/modules/`uname -r`/source
# ./compat/script/compat-install.sh

Posta a saida do ultimo comando.
