Erro no Update Ubuntu 16.04 LTS {RESOLVIDO}

acabei de instalar o Ubuntu 16.04 LTS no meu notebook Asus e quando dou o comando sudo apt-get update, em determinada linha aparece esse erro:

Precisa deletar essas linhas que contém trusty do arquivo de repositórios sources.list.
No terminal: sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Procure as linhas e comente (ponha uma trave # antes de cada linha que contenha a palavra trusty.
Entendeu? Somente essas linhas. Depois salve e aplique no terminal: sudo apt update

Se não der mais os erros acima, conseguiu resolver o problema.

digitei o comando e abriu esse bloco de notas:

Ok, vamos fazer pelo modo gráfico. Siga: Central de Programas do Ubuntu -> Editar > Canais de Software
Clique na aba: Outros programas - Procure os links que deram erro (que tenha trusty):

Clique em cada um deles por vez e remova-os (clicando no botão: Remover).
Terminou? Feche o Canais de Software. Se pedir para recarregar, faça!
Senão, no terminal: sudo apt-get update

A opção do terminal é melhor porque se ainda houver erros, o terminal aponta.

Mas queria entender porque deu esse erro, se não estou enganado é um repositório de tradução do ubuntu, ele não fara falta?

A questão é que o nome trusty não corresponde à sua versão atual xenial.
Por isso que está dando esse erro.

Geralmente ocorre quando se atualiza de uma versão pra outra ou algum PPA para a versão. Você fez isso ou instalou do zero (recomendado).

instalei do zero e já fiz download de atualizações na instalação, quando terminou fiz um upgrade rapidamente e só percebi o erro depois, agora não lembro se ele já tinha aparecido quando dei sudo apt-get update a primeira vez antes do upgrade.
