oi pessoal ainda estou com o mesmo problema para conectar o meu note na rede sem fio mas, tive lendo, e pude ver que o arquivo rc.inet1.conf contem os parametros para carregar a rede eth0 que e a minha rede cabeada automaticamente bastando apenas eu acrescentar yes. veja como ele ta:

Agora o problema e que eu uso WPA2, na minha rede sem fio, consigo ve-la e tudo mais, so nao consigo conectar a ela. Segue o exemplo do arquivo rc.inet1.conf

Ainda não manjo muito de slackware, mas sempre usei assim.

Crie um arquivo com o nome e senha da sua rede sem-fio

wpa_passphrase SEUESSID SuaSenhaWpa >> /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

Use o wpa_supplicant para conectar

wpa_supplicant -i eth0 -B -D wext -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

dhcpcd eth0
ou
dhclient eth0

Porém para fazer automaticamente no boot espero que algum desses te ajude
