Gparted processa mas não abre no Ubuntu 10.10 [RESOLVIDO]

Esta ocorrendo o mesmo erro de antes. Será que não está ocorrendo alguma incompatibilidade com o sistema.
Tem algo a ver com o openoffice,algo assim?

Usando os comandos que o Miura postou consegui instalar e abrir o Gparted, porém som com o comando gksudo.
Não abre diretamente em Aplicativos/Ferramentas de sistema/Gparted

Só pelo terminal usando o gksudo.

Quando instalei apareceu o seguinte erro:
"Invalid desktop file /usr/share/applications/openoffice.org-startcenter.desktop: ParsingError in file '/usr/share/applications/openoffice.org-startcenter.desktop', [Desktop Entry]-Header missing"

Pessoal não sei se foi a forma certa ou se foi meio que "gambiarra", mas consegui resolver da seguinte forma:

- fui em Aplicativos;
- apertei o botão direito do mouse;
- abre se uma janelinha, fui em Editar menus;
- Ferramentas de sistema, dei um duplo clique;
- localizei Gparted e selecionei, cliquei no quadradinho para ativar;
- Propriedades;
- e em propriedades onde diz Comando, digitei "gksudo /usr/sbin/gparted %f" (sem as aspas), na frente do que já tava dando um espaço;
- fechando tudo e clicando em Aplicativos/Ferramentas de sistema/Gparted ele abre a janela de senha do usuário root;
- digitei a senha e abriu normalmente, só demorando um pouquinho...

Comentem ai pessoal se eu fiz correto ou se esta errado, acho que não era pra ser assim.

Acho que é porque também mudou a localização do aplicativo, me lembro que no Ubuntu 10.4, o Gparted ficava em Sistema/Administração e agora está em Aplicativos.

como eu nunca tive esse problema de só abrir o aplicativo pelo terminal não sei lhe dizer qual seria maneira certa mas não tem nenhum problema no modo que vc fez!
