Problema com ao abrir phpmyadmin "Acesso negado!" [RESOLVIDO]

Tudo Ok para abrir os arquivos .php no navegador, mas para abrir o phpmyadmin para criar os bancos dá nisso ai encima!
Alguém pode ajudar? Desde já agradeço!

Sim, sim tem senha! Já adicionei no arquivo config.inc.php e nada.

Que estranho...

no meu ubuntu 14.04, instalei via synaptic o apache (2.4.7), o php (5.5), o mysql (5.5) e o phpmyadmin, defini as senhas na instalação e o synaptic instalou automaticamente as dependências, rodou normal desde a primeira vez...

Você instalou do mesmo modo? Está usando XAMP?

Pelo PHP, você consegue se conectar ao banco, é isso mesmo?

Isso instalei o Xampp, botei senha porque me falaram isso mas com senha ou sem senha na config.inc.php dá no mesmo! Esso erro aparece mesmo sem mexer no arquivo, mas vou colocar aqui.
Uso Ubuntu 14.04.
Todas as outras funções estão de boa, espero que possam me ajudar.

Ok, estamos quase lá...

abra um terminal, rodo os comando abaixo:

sudo su -
mysql -u root 

se ele exibir esta msg abaixo, ele te fato tem senha configurada.

ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: N  
O)  

Como seguro morreu de velho, vamos testar:

mysql -u root -p 

digite a senha root ( DO MYSQL)

se entrar e ficar assim, a senha esta funcionando.

Vc ja tinha mysql-client antes de instalar oXamp ?

Remove e instala o phpmyadmin

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge phpmyadmin
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin

Não sei te responder se tinha ou não, o xampp não vem pronto? Se eu desistar o phpmyadmin o xampp vai rodar como deveria?
Blz tá feito, desinstalei e instalei de novo o phpmyadmin. E agora?

Sim, o xamp instala mysql, php, phpmyadimin entre outros e isso pode ser o problema...

Note que nos passos que indiquei pra vc, desinstala mais instala novamente... na verdade vc esta reinstalando. (poderia usar tbm o --reinstall, mas por experiencias passadas e levando em consideração seu caso, acho melhor desinstalar e instalar mesmo.)
