Ola a todos,
os asilos para idosos na Europa (principalmente na Itália, França e Espanha) estão sendo muito afetados pelo Coronavírus... Será que este fato mostra uma negligência no cuidado com o idoso, em muitos desses estabelecimentos? Lucro vem primeiro, gastando o minimo possivel no cuidado? Fiscalização deficiente do governo nestes asilos? Isso não era para estar ocorrendo na presente situação... Um alerta para o Brasil!

A Deluged System Leaves Some Elderly to Die, Rocking Spain’s Self-Image
"the deplorable situation in some nursing homes had exposed “a bitter black hole in our welfare state.” (...) "but Spanish public prosecutors are investigating possible criminal neglect" (...) "while also acknowledging that the crisis among the elderly, particularly in nursing homes, might be far worse than anyone knows yet" (...) "a French organization representing nursing homes warned the health minister that the coronavirus could kill as many as 100,000 people in France, given the current state of the homes" (...) "As nursing homes have come under fire, directors of some of them have accused
the government of passing on the blame for its own shortcomings in a crisis that has left doctors, nurses and mortuary employees without the protective gear they need" (...) "Jesús Rico, who co-owns a small nursing home in Madrid, said in a phone interview that the
regional government had been “talking but doing almost nothing” to help homes survive the epidemic" (...) "there were problems in the industry before the virus, with
inadequate health inspections and some homes that run “as a pure business, by pirates whose only goal is to spend as little money as possible"

Isso pode estar mostrando uma clara incapacidade das autoridades de proteger os idosos que se encontram nesses estabelecimentos!

"But, even after explaining that she was a doctor caring for many elderly patients and had reason to suspect she might have been exposed, she wasn’t able to find a site that would test her." (...) "For the asymptomatic, it is virtually impossible, even though there is ample evidence that they can spread the disease." (...) "According to the CDC report published yesterday, staff of the Kirkland nursing home who came to work while infected with the virus, along with a
shortage of protective equipment and the limited ability to test, contributed to the deadliness of the outbreak in Washington state."
Enquanto isso na Alemanha:
"A Alemanha também tem sido melhor em proteger seus cidadãos mais velhos" (...) "A idade média para os infectados é estimada em 46; na Itália, a idade média é de 63 anos"
